In general, my objective when painting flowers is to paint the impression of flowers but not to paint each petal and certainly not each leaf. In “Fruit Bouquet” I want you to sense that there is sunlight, to know what you are looking at, yet it isn’t there. Examine the jagged splash of red on the far right, for example. What do you see? I only offer my best work for sale, but I’m especially pleased with the way this painting works.
